Welcome

If you've found your way here, there's a good chance something in your life is asking for attention.

You don't have to have everything figured out.

You don't have to explain why you're here.

And you don't have to carry everything alone.

What Is Breath Therapy?

People often ask if breath therapy is the same as breathwork.

It isn't.

Many forms of breathwork focus on relaxation, meditation, mindfulness, or performance through breathing techniques. Those practices have value, but the work I offer is different.

My approach is rooted in integrative breath therapy—a personalized, trauma-informed process that combines intentional therapeutic breathing with somatic awareness, an understanding of the nervous system, and compassionate guidance.

No two people arrive with the same life experiences.

That's why no two breath therapy experiences should ever be the same.

Everything is tailored to you—your story, your goals, your comfort level, and where you are today.

As a certified Reiki Practitioner, I may also integrate Reiki and sound healing when it feels appropriate and aligns with your goals. It is never expected or required. It's simply another gentle tool that can support relaxation and complement the breath therapy experience.

I don't believe in forcing change.

I believe in creating a safe environment where meaningful change has the opportunity to happen.

Who I Work With

The people who find their way here come from all walks of life.

Some are first responders, veterans, healthcare professionals, business owners, caregivers, or parents.

Others have experienced profound loss, major life changes, years of chronic stress, or simply reached a place where they no longer feel like themselves.

What they all have in common is a desire to stop merely getting through life and begin reconnecting with themselves.

You don't need to fit into a certain category to benefit from breath therapy.

You simply need to be ready for something different.

Why Alive & Well Breath Therapy Exists

I didn't set out to create a breath therapy practice.

I found it because I needed it.

For more than twenty years, I served as both a flight medic and police officer, helping people through some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Like many first responders, I became very good at taking care of everyone else while quietly carrying my own burdens.

In 2008, I lost my 13-year-old child.

I did what I thought I was supposed to do. I kept working. I stayed busy. From the outside, I looked okay.

I wasn't.

Years later, during a six-week inpatient treatment program, I was introduced to breath therapy. For the first time in a long time, I experienced something I hadn't felt in years. It wasn't that my past disappeared—it was that I finally felt like I didn't have to carry it alone anymore.

That experience changed the course of my life.

Alive & Well Breath Therapy was founded from my own journey of learning that we don't have to carry life's hardest moments alone. Today, it's my privilege to provide the same safe, supportive space that helped change my own life and to walk alongside others as they begin finding their own way forward.

Your First Step

If you've made it this far, something in these words may have resonated with you.

You don't need to have everything figured out before reaching out.

You don't need to know exactly what you need.

You simply need to be open to the possibility that life can feel different than it does today.

The first step is an Initial Clarity Session.

This is a dedicated, in-person, one-on-one conversation where we'll take the time to get to know one another, explore what has brought you here, discuss your goals, answer your questions, and begin identifying the path that best supports you.

Before your appointment, you'll receive a confidential Wellness Intake Form by email. Completing it in advance gives us a meaningful starting point for our conversation, allowing us to spend more time focusing on you and creating a personalized breath therapy experience.

If we decide to work together, every breath therapy experience is thoughtfully tailored to your individual needs because no two people share the same story.

I believe we live in a world that teaches us how to push through, hold it together, and keep going. Very few of us are ever taught how to slow down, listen to ourselves, or create space for what we've been carrying.

I don't believe lasting change begins when someone tells you what to do.

I believe it begins when you finally feel safe enough to listen to what your body has been trying to tell you all along.

If you're ready, I'd be honored to walk alongside you.
